Make Yourself Heard Workshop | An.OtherAsian

In collaboration with An.OtherAsian, the Art of Expression workshop provided an environment for queer South Asian and Southeast Asian creatives to reflect on the issues and challenges they face as they navigate through the creative ecosystem in London. Participants problematised solutions on how queer Southeast Asian artists can be empowered to take up space - reflecting on their intersectional identities, safe space-making as a practice, and responding to the world around them.

Make Yourself Heard Workshop | An.OtherAsian

SIYA Artist Workshops offered queer artists of colour a space to develop new works that amplify LGBTQIA+ voices and represent diverse narratives of queer communities. London-based actor, mover, and writer Bianca Stephens participated in a two-week series of dramaturgical sessions, providing a safe space-maker for creation, reflection, open conversations, and critical feedback. The process was iterative,  developing and documenting a  work-in-progress performance by Bianca.
